Today's Featured Earrings...#45

Today was fun at work. As you may know I work at the Joann Fabrics in Novi, MI. Though it was busy we (the employees) were enjoying each other and helping the past along in a wonderful way. The ill manner guests did not matter, actually I don't even remember them, that's just how good the day was...AWESOME! There is more tomorrow. lol

More Blossom Fairies....

Pink and pretty, very beautiful earrings. I love making these, the colors are bright, bold and fun!
It's going to only get better because my ideas continue to  evolve the more I make these wonderful earrings....

Gobble til U Wobble...

Happy Turkey Day!

I am so thankful for all the many many blessings God has placed in my life. I sit and wonder how and why does he do the things he does for me.

This year has been hard for me. I always wanted more than one child and I always wanted them two years apart. I didn't think I would have another child let alone so soon especially since I broke up with my son's Dad. But God decided to answer one of my life long wants and I became pregnant with Olivia last December, went on bedrest in April @ 20 weeks pregnant, had her @ the  23-4/7 week mark. She was in the hospital for 5months 5 weeks and home now on oxygen and thriving. Her brother, whom is 2-1/2, kisses her every morning though he gets jealous when I'm holding her but for the more part is happy to have a sister.

So this year is an awesome time for me. I have both of my children with me...yay!

Earrings of the Day...#51 and #50

As I have mentioned before, I absolutely LOVE these flower beads made of Lucite beads. I have to be honest, though I bought these at one of my area bead stores, I fell in love with these when I seen artists on etsy make earrings out of these. I've tried so hard to not make earrings just like those already sold on etsy but it's hard to not draw ideas from those.

I'm hoping that my creations are as moving as the ones that inspired me.

Earrings #51

The earrings pictured below are one of the four I discussed yesterday.

Featured earrings...Day #52

I enjoyed making these wonderful green earrings. When I sit down to make these, I sometimes get overwhelmed with the color choices. And then I ask myself should the earrings be dangles, hoops and/ or chandeliers. I made 4 pair of green earrings similar to these featured today. I was going to put them all in one earring but realized it was a bit too much, so I made individual earrings.

Anyway, I love the lucite flowers. And I will absolutely continue to make them in the future. I hope you enjoy today's earrings.

Today's earrings day #54

Posting these Tassels for today. I have got to take pictures of my eaarings that I made these past few days. I need a new light box. I'm tired of taking pictures at work, they aren't as nice as they use to be (at least I don't think so).

Demo Bracelets + Today's Earrings

Demo Bracelets
I did two demos on Saturday, November 5th, but I did not get a chance to post the pictures. The bracelets turned out better than I expected. I plan to remake these in my own version.

Today's earrings are pair numbered 57, 56 and 55.  I guess I was really feeling the black. These turned out very cool.

Design Challenge + Earrings of the Day...#62

Blue Bell Fairies

Featured earrings for today are Blue Bell Fairies. I've been really thinking about starting a design challenge group. I've tossed around the idea in my head, trying to come up with the how tos of going about doing this.

I've asked questions like:
  • What would a design challenge achieve?
  • Who and how do I get people to join?
  • What type of activites would we do?
  • Would it be devoted to a specific type of jewelry (i.e. earrings, bracelets, neckalaces...etc.)?
So I prose the question to you my blog followers. Please leave your comments, tell me what you think.

Halloween Adventures and #63 Earrings of the Day

Halloween was so busy for me. I went to the hospital to see Olivia, who is now 10 lbs. 6 oz. and five months old. I took my son, Savon with me as well. I'm glad i did because the hospital had a party for the children in Peds and their families. My little Iron Man, Savon, didn't have to go out later, he got enough at the party. In the picture below, he was having a super hero crisis. His Dad bought him an Iron Man costume and the Doc at the hospital had an extra batman mask that he gave him. After that he didn't want to put on the mask for Iron Man. I got my face painted and dressed my little lady as a bug.

We later went out with my 14 year old niece and god-daughter, they were 80's babies. lol A hot mess if you ask me but whose asking. We all had fun! Oh did I mention, I also got a chance to see Puss n'Boots today, very funny movie. As you can see my day was FULL and FUN!

Pumpkin Spice
The earrings below were my first attempt at polymer clay bead making. I tried to make....you guess it....PUMPKINS! LOL

Earrings of the Day...#69

A lovely pair of beautiful flower earrings. I wore these to work and everyone said they look like little fairies so I've decided to creat a line of earrings of Flower Fairies. I'm not sure of what name to call them but it will be something with fairies in the title.

These are titled: Blossom Fairies

Earrings of the Day...#70

Do you know what these are made of...?

Polymer Clay! One pair has glitter and the other has seed beads embedded within the clay. I was experimenting in yellow.
