Contest GuidelinesNo purchase necessary to win prize. There is only one entry per email address. Participant must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Participant must remain on the email list for the duration of the contest promotion (twelve months). Actual postal (physical) address must be supplied along with the email address. Entries without postal address will not be eligible to win. Deadline to enter contest will be December 31, 2008. Winner will be announced January 8, 2009. Winner will be notified by email and/ or postal mail no later than January 15, 2009. The winner will began receiving their prize in February and will continue through January 2010, for duration of twelve months.

Trying to find my Style…

In completing an application to join an on-line group of jewelry artists, I was asked what does the word “artisan” mean to me.

“When I see the word "artisan" I think original, elite individuals who approach their craft from an artistic point of view. A person who can express art in such a way that their audience can only say "WOW"!”

I was honest in my own definition of the word but wondered if I fall into this category. Then I proceeded to look over my designs, through pictures and such and it dawned on me in looking at my jewelry that I am all over the place in terms of design. Usually each designer/ creator has his or her own style. Their voice can be heard when you see their creations. Honestly, I don’t have my own distinct voice. I dibble and dabble in some of everything and its time for my individual voice to be heard.

So, I’m going to be doing a bit of research on myself and see what I come up with, of course, I will keep you updated on my discoveries.

This is going to be so much fun because after that I really have to figure out how to work this camera that really has too many features for me but it was a gift so that I could take professional pictures of my jewelry. And I’m half way there with that…
