Trying to find my Style…

In completing an application to join an on-line group of jewelry artists, I was asked what does the word “artisan” mean to me.

“When I see the word "artisan" I think original, elite individuals who approach their craft from an artistic point of view. A person who can express art in such a way that their audience can only say "WOW"!”

I was honest in my own definition of the word but wondered if I fall into this category. Then I proceeded to look over my designs, through pictures and such and it dawned on me in looking at my jewelry that I am all over the place in terms of design. Usually each designer/ creator has his or her own style. Their voice can be heard when you see their creations. Honestly, I don’t have my own distinct voice. I dibble and dabble in some of everything and its time for my individual voice to be heard.

So, I’m going to be doing a bit of research on myself and see what I come up with, of course, I will keep you updated on my discoveries.

This is going to be so much fun because after that I really have to figure out how to work this camera that really has too many features for me but it was a gift so that I could take professional pictures of my jewelry. And I’m half way there with that…

This is the official home of PinkIce Jewels. I have been spread all over the Internet in hopes of getting the word out concerning PinkIce Jewels but all I've really been doing is running myself crazy.

So I have decided to do everything right here on the blog. Hopefully, I can streamline everything so you can read the topics and posting most valuable to you as our guest. The other site that will remain open is PINKICE JEWELS MYSPACE, though we are still connected to the others detail post will not be listed, only a direct link to this page.

I hope that this has not caused anyone any inconvenience and that the change is best for both PIJ and its customers.
